When a Vision Comes To Life
THE BRIEF
Our clients came to us with an architects’ pencil drawing of rectangles for the design of their new kitchen.
Having recently built a house, they were very aware of what products were on the market. They had a vision on what the finished kitchen would look like which involved the use of colour and different textures. For ease of access they wanted a strong focus on drawers throughout the whole kitchen. Our brief was to incorporate as many of these features in the design of their new kitchen.
THE SOLUTION
All of the oak timber plywood had to be grain matched so that there was continuous flow from drawers to fridge cabinets, scullery and wall paneling.
Construction of the negative detail handle solution for the Revo revolving corner mechanism was a challenge. We initially ‘dummied’ up a trial solution to ensure that the doors and handle would rotate internally, ensuring the consistency of the handle detail throughout the kitchen.
THE RESULT
We worked closely with a number of different sub-contractors such as stainless steel benchtop manufacturers, tilers, electricians, plumbers, and Metalier, to ensure that the finished kitchen reflected the client’s vision.
